Breaking the rules
So it's sort of a rule that you aren't supposed to complain about your life in a professional setting and I have been learning this recently but boy, do I hate school right now. It's not that my education is bad, or that my courses are particularly difficult, but what I want to be focusing on is my documentary, what is important to me is my documentary, but college, as a time commitment, is getting in the way.
What are you supposed to do when your present is getting in the way of your future but is also extremely important for getting jobs? (college)
Needless to say, I am flustered and frustrated right now, and I haven't been able to film lately which is why I haven't been updating this blog.
TOMORROW I am filming BingSpot as they walk through the Roberson Museum ad plan out where everything will be placed, and decorations, etc. for their upcoming event "Masquerade in the Mansion". As you know, I'm following BingSpot as my "community mindset character", so the planning of such a big event is pretty exciting. I will be spending tonight planning out ideas for how I want to frame everything and how to structure my questions.
I got another external hard drive on Cyber Monday (2Tb iomega eGo Desktop Hard Drive, Mac Edition) because I was freaking out about losing my entire doc. if my LaCie craps out on me (which it won't, because it's a great hard drive). I also bought three lights (Neewer CN-160) and four batteries for them (NP-F550). I just got my charger today so I'll be testing those out tonight and I'll be reading back through my Mic manuals and my Beachtek manual because the sound on my clips has been inconsistent.
LAST THING: I am putting together a five minute sample of what I have so far as sort of a rough/early trailer, and you can expect that to be posted late next week... during finals.
