Don't Jinx it.

Two days short of exactly one month ago I posted an update about how I was almost done. Well... Life happened, as life tends to do, and I smacked into some fairly intense obstacles. One of my characters got back to me after I had submitted to True/False, Big Sky, and Boston Underground film Festivals saying that as the documentary currently stood, their organization felt arbitrarily represented, and wished to be excluded from the final product.

You can imagine the beats my heart missed. I responded in an attempt to save 1/3 of the documentary, and we ended up working out a compromise. Three new scenes, twenty less minutes, and a few timeline shuffles later, I am waiting for what will hopefully be my last batch of peer reviews before I finalize my product.

Now I'm not going to say anything to warrant a knock on wood, crossed fingers, or any other anti-jinxing ritual, but at this point I think I have a vastly improved product from last month, and that's what really matters.

I'm on my own editing now, Julia gave me back my external hard drives and iMac, and HUE has been working with me to get my brand set and develop a website.

As always, thank you for your support,
